Library Using Rules
1. General Regulations
1.1. This document defines the library using rules at Ken Walker International University Ltd (hereinafter – University).
1.2. Following the rules is equally mandatory for university’s students, alumni, university’s personnel and other authorized bodies.
2. Library Accessibility
2.1. All existing resources in the library are equally accessible to university’s students, alumni, university’s personnel and other authorized bodies.
2.2. The library works from Monday to Sunday.
2.3. The library working hours from Monday to Saturday are 09:00-20:00 and on Saturday – 10:00-15:00
2.4. For using library the person wishing using it must present his/her Identification Card (ID) to library employee.
2.5. The person wishing using library must have a Reader Card which is opened by the library employee at the first time of using the library.
3. Library User’s Rights
3.1. The library user has a right to use existing resource in the library, including: printed materials, electronic materials, electronic databases and their search possibilities, readers’ hall, world-wide-web and computer techniques.
3.2. Alongside the using material in the reader’s hall, the library user has a right to take away desirable printed material temporarily. Taking away the material is not allowed if:
3.2.1. The material is a dictionary, encyclopedia.
3.2.2. Only one item of the material is left in the library.
3.3. Appropriate remark is made in the Reader’s Card regarding borrowing the material from the library. The maximum return time period is defined and it must not exceed 1 month.
4. Library User’s Duties
4.1. Library resources must be used only for educational purposes and their usage for unjust or/and personal purposes is inadmissible.
4.2. Library user is obliged to:
4.2.1. Take care of library resource and do not damage it.
4.2.2. Return borrowed material under defined period, on time.
4.2.3. Inform library employee about discovered error or damage of the library resource.
4.2.4. Give library the book of same name, published date and edition in case of losing or/and damaging borrowed library material. (Other edition of the same book can be returned if the same one cannot be found). Library user can be charged with the fee (for the current period) for the lost book and the user can pay it to the university.
4.3. In case of violation Library Using Rules, the measures defined in the law and the contract can be used against the person. The measures include remuneration request of caused material damage.
