Students of the Ken Walker International University participated in 2-day Football Tournament which was organized by the senior students for the first time and will take place every year from now.
Within the tournament the teams of KWIU were competing against each other for the championship trophy.
On December 9th the tournament hosted teams of qualifiers:
United FC VS Blue Lock FC
Eagles FC VS Power FC
City FC VS Blue Lock FC
Stars FC VS Power FC
Professor Archil Undilashvili, Director of Educational Programs of the Emory University School of Medicine, attended the game of the qualifying teams.
On December 10th Semi-final plays held between:
United FC and Power FC
City FC and Eagles FC
3rd place of the football tournament took Power FC. Final competition was held between United FC and City FC. 2nd place took City FC. The 1st place of the tournament won United FC.
To the end of the football tournament Trophy Ceremony took place. Nini Zardiashvili, Head of Students Services and Support Office of Ken Walker International University awarded the team players with medals and announced the best players of the tournament 2023: the golden cups were presented to The Best Goal scorer Khalid Mohammed, The Best Player – Abdullah Omer; The Best Goalkeeper of tournament – Digvijay Kumar Biswas. The KWIU Cup, a solid trophy was awarded to the winner of the KWIU Football Tournament – United FC and its players:

With the decision of the Ken Walker International University administrative team and the students, the coach and the referee of the 2-day championship were awarded with Appreciation Certificates. The administration and students of KWIU would like to thank the Coach, Giorgi Tordia and the Referee, Giorgi Surmava, the physical therapists of the Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation, for their contribution in organizing and conducting one of the year’s most memorable events.
At the end of the tournament, it was great to see the KWIU students celebrating their achievement and receive well-deserved congratulations. Ken Walker International University will support student-initiated sports activity.
