“Patient, Physician, Society” (PPS) course faculty meeting was held with the collaboration of the Georgian and American colleagues at Ken Walker International University.
Student preparation for clinical studies from the viewpoint of professionalism was the main topic of the workshop supported by the academic staff involved in the teaching process. Dr. Raya Cherny, the clinician working in the USA was leading the meeting, who is meanwhile the invited professor of Ken Walker International University.
The meeting was very interactive as the motivation and experience of the faculty to reach excellence in teaching professionalism is supporting the main mission of the medical school - transformation of the students into professional doctors.
It is noteworthy that Dr Raya Cherny has experience of working in Georgia and the fact that she is familiar with Georgian medical education and Healthcare system determines the target-oriented nature of her recommendations and working plans.
To involve international professionals in the working process is one of the important developmental direction for Ken Walker International University.
