At Ken Walker International University, we believe that life-saving skills should be accessible to everyone. In collaboration with the Student Services and Support Office, 7th and 8th-grade students from Independent School ‘Modzgvari’ took part in a two-day interactive First Aid Workshop.
Led by KWIU’s invited lecturers, with hands-on guidance from students of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the workshop provided both theoretical knowledge and practical training in essential emergency response techniques. During the sessions, students learned how to:
• Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Control bleeding effectively
• Provide first aid for animal bites
• Assist in choking emergencies
• Treat wounds and injuries
• Respond swiftly in critical situations
The interactive format kept school students engaged, allowing them to practice these life-saving techniques through hands-on practice with specialized medical mannequins.
Held as part of World Heart Health Month, the workshop aimed to instill confidence, responsibility, and preparedness in young learners. At the end of the training, participants received certificates of completion, marking their first step toward becoming future first responders.
