Ken Walker International University continues to promote socially responsible initiatives aimed at sharing life-saving skills with younger generations.
Organized by KWIU’s Simulation Center, 10th grade students from Opiza School participated in a one-day First Aid Training.
Guided by invited lecturers Gvantsa Jachvadze and Luka Kuchava, participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical experience for effective response in emergency situations.
During the training, students learned how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), control bleeding effectively, and apply the Heimlich maneuver in choking situations.
Particular emphasis was placed on CPR as a critically important life-saving skill. The practical sessions were conducted in an interactive format, helping participants apply their knowledge and build confidence.
As part of the visit, students were introduced to the university’s learning environment and the opportunities it offers for hands-on education.
The training aimed to develop students’ sense of responsibility, as well as their ability to make quick decisions and respond effectively in critical situations. The activity was coordinated on behalf of the school by biology teacher Natia Gaprindashvili.
Ken Walker International University thanks the students of Opiza School for their active engagement and interest.
