On March 27th Ken Walker International University had the privilege of hosting the Consul of Indian Embassy to Armenia and Georgia - Mr. Aditya Kumar Pandey for a significant visit. The purpose of the visit was to engage in discussions with the university administration and strengthen collaboration.
Mr. Pandey met with KWIU Rector and other administrative representatives to further discuss collaboration opportunities and strengthen ties between the consulate and the university.
During the meeting Professor Archil Undilashvili, Director of Educational Programs at Emory University School of Medicine, delivered a comprehensive presentation about the university. He emphasized the strengths of the educational programs and highlighted planned initiatives with international partners, showcasing the commitment to global collaboration and academic excellence.
The meeting was attended by esteemed representatives from Emory University SOM, including Associate Dean, Professor Joel Felner, Assistant Dean, Professor Gordon Churchward and Colonel Mark Hartell, Military Deputy Director of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs.
the Rector, Professor Eka Ekaladze spoke about the university's educational program compliance with international standards. The program received accreditation in 2021 according to the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) standards ( Link: https://eqe.ge/ka/decisions/12031/show && https://shorturl.at/pEJKO ). The university is committed to maintaining international accreditation while continuously striving to align with global standards in medical education. In this regard, Ken Walker International University receives support from Emory University and different US organizations operating in Georgia. Evidence of this collaboration includes the ongoing visit of Emory delegation to KWIU, along with planned work meetings and events for enhancing medical education quality.
Mr. Aditya Kumar Pandey, the Consul of Indian Embassy to Armenia and Georgia, took the opportunity to interact directly with KWIU students, answering their questions and expressing his remarkable support for their academic endeavors. He assured them of assistance with any necessary issues they may encounter.
The visit was notably productive and interactive, with all parties agreeing on future directions of mutual cooperation, underscoring the importance of such exchanges for academic advancement and international partnerships.
