May 31 is World No Tobacco Day! At Ken Walker International
University, our students have created powerful videos to raise
awareness about the dangers of tobacco and the importance of
protecting our communities.
Our dedicated students, Roja Rajeswari Sriramprasad Korada and
Parnika Chikile, alongside Athena Julienne Junio Enecio and Tala
Mahmoud Hassan Mohamed Ali Sakran, have highlighted critical
issues such as protecting children from tobacco industry
interference and the harmful effects of nicotine on both active and
passive smokers.
Following the video presentations, a thought-provoking discussion
was planned. Participants shared their insights on these pressing
matters. Additionally, a mini survey conducted on-site revealed that
the majority of our attendees are proud non-smokers.
Join us in supporting our students' efforts and dedication to
promoting a tobacco-free world.
