As part of the program’s ongoing academic sessions, students had the privilege of meeting Dr. Tinatin Muradashvili, who delivered an engaging and motivational talk. She emphasized the importance of research in medical education, highlighted opportunities for student involvement in research projects in the United States, and introduced participants to fundamental aspects of Hematology.

During the discussion, students raised numerous questions about USMLE preparation, residency interviews, the Match process, and fellowship opportunities. Dr. Muradashvili also shared her personal journey of receiving a scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) at Emory University, encouraging students to envision ambitious academic and professional goals.

Currently, Dr. Muradashvili serves as a Second-Year Hematology Fellow at Emory University School of Medicine, while simultaneously completing her degree as a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) Candidate at Emory University. Prior to this, she distinguished herself as Chief Resident and later as a physician during her Internal Medicine Residency at the Yale-New Haven (Waterbury) Internal Medicine Residency Program. Her medical career began in Georgia, where she trained as a Resident in Hematology and Hemotransfusion and earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Tbilisi State Medical University.

Her extensive background and dedication to both patient care and research offered students a powerful example of international success in medicine. The session not only broadened their understanding of specialized medical fields but also provided meaningful insight into the academic, clinical, and research pathways available at Emory and beyond.
