Ken Walker International University students organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Event dedicated to promoting education, early detection, and empowerment in the fight against breast cancer.
The event featured two remarkable guest speakers: Dr. Tamta Tolordava, Invited Lecturer and Gynecologist, who shared valuable insights on breast cancer prevention, early screening, and women’s health; and Megi Tedeevi, Breast Cancer Survivor and Representative of Europa Donna Georgia, who delivered an inspiring and deeply touching talk about her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of strength, awareness, and support.
Throughout the day, students and faculty took part in interactive workshop stations, learning about breast self-examinations, healthy lifestyle practices, and the critical role of early detection.
In addition, KWIU students organized a fundraising activity, selling pink ribbons and bracelets to show their solidarity. All proceeds were donated to Europa Donna Georgia, supporting ongoing efforts in breast cancer advocacy and care.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of awareness, education, and community support in women’s health.
Together, we stand for hope, health, and empowerment.
