Professor Eka Ekaladze, Rector of Ken Walker International University, and Nino Shiukashvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Service, represented KWIU at the AMEE 2026 Annual Conference, held in Vienna, Austria, from August 22-26.
Bringing together medical educators, researchers, and academic leaders from around the world, AMEE 2026 provided an important international platform for exchanging ideas, research findings, and best practices in medical education.
Through plenary sessions, symposia, interactive workshops, and research presentations, the conference explored the future of medical education and its evolving role in modern healthcare. Key topics included artificial intelligence and digital technologies in education, innovative teaching and assessment methods, interprofessional education, quality enhancement, and emerging directions in educational research.
Participation in AMEE 2026 offered KWIU valuable insights into current international developments in medical education, while also creating opportunities to exchange professional experience, build new connections, and explore future collaborations.
