The close academic collaboration between Ken Walker International University and Emory University continues to grow, encompassing institutional partnership as well as opportunities for faculty professional development, international knowledge exchange, and the implementation of modern educational approaches.
As part of this collaboration, Ia Agdgomelashvili, Assistant Professor at Ken Walker International University, visited Emory University School of Medicine and Grady Memorial Hospital, where she gained insight into the work of the Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care departments, clinical practice, and contemporary teaching approaches.
The program was led by Dr. Ziad Kazzi, Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicologist at Emory University, Director of the International Medical Toxicology Fellowship Program, and Associate Medical Director of the Georgia Poison Center. During the visit, Ia Agdgomelashvili attended masterclasses and professional conferences and participated in working meetings covering both academic and clinical areas.
Activities implemented within the framework of the collaboration between Ken Walker International University and Emory University contribute to faculty professional development, the exchange of international best practices, and the integration of the knowledge and experience gained into the University’s academic and clinical education processes.
