Based on the wonderful initiative of UNESCO, every year on April 23, the World Book Day is celebrated. This observance aims to foster a culture of reading worldwide, particularly among youth, while simultaneously cultivating an appreciation for extant literary works and fostering the genesis of novel masterpieces. Moreover, Book Day serves as a platform for advancing global education, science, and culture as pivotal agents of progress and peace. Students, faculty, and administrative personnel at Ken Walker International University convened to partake in a multifaceted celebration the World Book Day with a variety of fun activities and interesting discussions.
The event dedicated to the World Book Day was opened by associate professor Lasha Kurdashvili, who introduced the history of the Book Day and talked about the importance of reading and education. Each participant presented favorite book and spoke about the values that would make them recommend this book.
Upon the culmination of the event, students noted the significance of reading as an indispensable component in the attainment of a comprehensive educational foundation essential for their prospective roles as physicians.
