From May 25 to 28, 2025, the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event, organized in partnership with the Institute for Medical Education Accreditation (IMEAc), was attended by a delegation from Ken Walker International University (KWIU).
The delegation included Professor Nino Tevzadze, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and Associate Professor Nino Shiukashvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Office. The main theme of the conference – “Health for All Through Quality Medical Education” – emphasized the essential role of medical education in strengthening global healthcare systems.
Key topics discussed included: Challenges in medical ethics and bioethics; Integration of social projects into the academic curriculum; The role of artificial intelligence in medical education; Innovative teaching approaches The participation of KWIU representatives in this global forum reaffirms the university’s commitment to high-quality medical education and international academic integration. Delegates actively engaged in discussions, built new international partnerships, and presented insights into Georgia’s medical education.
