On June 14, Ken Walker International University celebrated World Blood Donor Day in partnership with the Blood Bank of the Hematology Institute.
The event was held under the global theme for 2025: “Give blood, give hope: together we save lives” - a message that perfectly captured the spirit of the day. Students came together to donate blood, demonstrating compassion, solidarity and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Our students’ selfless contributions directly support patients in need and highlight the vital role young people play in building a healthier, more caring society.
In parallel with the donation, participants attended a compelling lecture: “A Few Minutes to Save a Life -The Importance of Donating Blood”, delivered by Anano Kevanishvili, MD, Hematologist-Transfusiologist and invited lecturer at KWIU. The session offered powerful insights into the medical importance of blood donation and how one act of kindness can become a lifeline for others. This impactful day was more than just a blood drive - it was an educational experience and a celebration of human solidarity. A heartfelt thank you to all participant students - your generosity truly saves lives!
