Ken Walker International University was honored to welcome distinguished guests from Emory University (USA): Professor Mary Jo Lechowicz, expert in Hematology and Medical Oncology, and Professor Gordon Churchward, renowned in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology.
During their visit, the professors met with KWIU students and delivered an inspiring talk on "The Doctor’s Role in Society: Healer, Advocate, Leader." The discussion emphasized the evolving responsibilities of medical professionals, highlighting not only clinical excellence but also the importance of advocacy and leadership in shaping healthcare systems.
In addition, the professors shared valuable insights into what could be considered on the way to residency - including the importance of research involvement, academic performance, clinical experience, personal motivation, and leadership skills.
