As part of the Summer at Emory Program, Ken Walker International University students had the opportunity to meet Dr. Mary Jo Lechowicz, a board-certified medical oncologist at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute.
Dr. Lechowicz, whose clinical and research focus has been on hematologic malignancies, especially T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, shared her insights on the U.S. medical system, elective programs, residency match process, and career opportunities in the USA. She also spoke about her own professional journey and offered valuable advice to future physicians.
The meeting was an inspiring highlight of the program, giving students first-hand perspectives from a leading expert in oncology and medical education.
