Ken Walker International University hosted a 38-member delegation from the Medical School Executives (MSE) of Thailand. The delegation included deans, vice deans, directors, medical education leaders, and other senior representatives from Thailand’s leading medical universities and university hospitals.
The visit marked one of the most significant milestones in KWIU’s international academic collaboration efforts. The delegation represented key professionals actively engaged in advancing the quality of medical education, implementing international accreditation standards, and strengthening global academic partnerships.
Among the visitors were internationally recognized experts involved in the development, evaluation, and quality assurance of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) standards, including a representative of the WFME Recognition Committee – Professor Pongsak Wannakrairot.
During the visit, the guests explored KWIU’s infrastructure, mission, American model of medical education, institutional development strategy, international partnerships, and the academic and professional opportunities available to students and faculty. The University’s educational vision, strategic priorities, and key features of its American medical education model were presented by Archil Undilashvili, Director of Educational Programs at Emory University School of Medicine, Eka Ekaladze, Rector of Ken Walker International University, and members of the University's academic staff.
The discussions focused on contemporary approaches to quality assurance in medical education, the importance of international accreditation, the exchange of best practices, and opportunities for future collaboration.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Thai medical education leaders highly praised their experience at KWIU and expressed their interest in establishing future academic cooperation.
Associate Professor Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, Secretary General of the Consortium of Thai Medical Schools, noted that KWIU made a remarkable impression on the delegation:
"At Ken Walker International University, we witnessed a strong foundation for medical education, an innovative curriculum, and a modern approach to teaching. I believe the University has a great deal to share with international partners, and I am confident that this visit will lead to future collaboration."
Professor Pongsak Wannakrairot, MD, Director of the Institute for Medical Education Accreditation and Manager of the Medical School Executives (MSE) Training Course, emphasized that the visit fully met the delegation's expectations:

Our visit to KWIU was extremely productive – we exchanged experiences in medical education, learned about the University's management model, and gained valuable practical insights that will contribute to the further development of our medical schools in Thailand.
