Ken Walker International University students continued their educational journey in Atlanta with a guided tour of Grady Memorial Hospital, led by Dr. Sean Dariushnia, Assistant Professor of Radiology, Interventional Radiology, and Image-Guided Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Dariushnia introduced them to the interventional radiology department and team, and offered a behind-the-scenes look at the daily workflow. Students were able to observe clinical practice firsthand, gaining valuable insight into the vital role interventional radiology plays in patient care. With clinical expertise in venous disease, portal hypertension, and pelvic disorders, Dr. Dariushnia also shared his experience as Chair of the Society of Interventional Radiology Standards Revision Subcommittee, where he leads the development of national quality improvement guidelines.

This immersive experience gave KWIU students not only a deeper understanding of interventional radiology but also a glimpse into the collaborative teamwork and innovation that drive patient care in the U.S. healthcare system.
