After busy and productive days, our students also found time to explore Atlanta’s landmarks. Of course, they couldn’t leave the U.S. without visiting the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.
The Coca-Cola Museum is one of the city’s most popular attractions, where visitors discover the brand’s history, culture, and unique flavors from around the globe.
Coca-Cola and Emory University share a very close connection. Emory’s campus was established in 1915 thanks to a generous donation from Coca-Cola’s president, Asa Candler, and his family. Later, both the company and the Candler family foundation continued their significant financial support, helping Emory grow into one of the leading research and educational centers in the U.S. Even today, Coca-Cola remains one of the university’s main donors and Emory’s campus is often linked with the brand’s history.
The Georgia Aquarium is also one of the largest aquariums in the world, where visitors can see whale sharks, beluga whales, dolphins, and many other marine species. Beyond being an entertaining attraction, it also serves as an important educational and research center, making it one of Atlanta’s most remarkable landmarks.
